You as an administrator select templates to design specific scenarios like "planning info update", "catalog info update", "purchasing info update". You can distribute the update tasks to the right department and by doing so you only have to work with the fields needed for the task, which ensures that the mass update is handled in a very safe and intuitive way.


Traditional update

With this App you no longer need to go through the central department to secure your part of the data just push a button and use the filters that apply to this task. Make all updates needed in a secure way, i.e. if you enter noncompliant data the field will be marked in red and you will need to adjust before making the update. 


Decision based update/control

You can also create specific scenarios that you use for decision-based updates, like scanning through all customer orders for a delayed product and updating based on customer priority. Meaning that you can plan and control your updates before you execute them.

Here are some scenarios:

Enable continuous update of master data  

Master data in M3 is used as a “photocopier” when creating transactions, for example manufacturing orders. If you have made improvements in the work center, lets say improved the run time, you will need to update the run time in every single product structure where this work center is used. This can easily be hundred of records that all need to be updated individually. This often leads to the problem that organizations are not actively working with their master data and when the transaction is created, the “old” values are mistakenly still being used, resulting in ¨garbage output¨.

Our Mass Update App takes away the barrier of managing your master data and makes sure the “photocopier” is always correct to prevent garbage output that impacts your entire organisation.

Distribute specific tasks to specific parts of the organisation

In most update tools in general you need to update the tables individually table by table. For example all the tables that are connected to the item. In addition the tools are updating a separate table facing all the fields and columns in cryptic ERP language like MMITDS ( M3 Item description). This leads to the update task being handled by the IT department. 

Our App removes one of the biggest hurdles against continuous improvement, i.e. that data management can’t be handled and distributed in a simple and safe way to the different functional areas in a company ( Procurement, Production, Finance etc ). You can let the procurement department work with updating procurement data by creating a scenario for procurement data independent from which table it belongs to.  Now you can work with the specified data and you can name the fields to match your terminology. We also work with validation and autocomplete on fields to make it easy and safe to work with your master data.

Decision-Based Update/Control

Current mass update tools lack the concept of decision-based update. As a result, it is not possible to work from an analysis-based perspective when performing updates. In our tool you can work with different types of hierarchical data and then update the same specific information in all of them based on your decisions, as a way of planning/controlling before you execute. 

For example, you know that you have issues with producing the required amount of a specific product for the current week, and that you can only produce 500 of the 1000 required pieces. In this scenario you would like to search for the orders where this product is used and see the results of an update before you perform it, in order to make informed decisions as to which customers will be affected.

To give an other example you can perform a search for a product and view the results grouped per customer. When expanding the customer you can see the affected customer orders and order lines. You can then make a decision with surgical precision whether to do an update or not based on customer priority.


Many LEAN purists have called ERP waste, and for many people ERP and LEAN have been seen as opposites. One great barrier is master data management. For organisations working with continuous improvement there is a continuous impact on the master data. As we learnt before, if this data isn’t updated, the transactions created by the ERP system will contain old information, leading to the organisation “losing faith“ in the ERP. 

Our App takes away this barrier and let’s you roll out master data management to the individuals working with the process, moving the process away from the IT department. You can even roll it out to specific individuals responsible for a specific part of the process or a specific production line.
